A New Year. May it be happy, healthy, and prosperous!!!
I RESOLVE…….to diet and lose weight,
to quit smoking,
to cut back on drinking,
Sound familiar?? Was it accomplished??? Probably not.
How many of us have resolved: To be more spiritually enlightened?
To be more affectionate and show more love?
To help our neighbor without expecting something in return?
To be more generous to those less fortunate?
To be more receptive to the ideas of others?
To be more aware of the rights of others and respect them?
To try to understand the beliefs of those different from ours and
generously acknowledge that difference?
I’m guessing not too many. After much Reflection, I can honestly say I have never made ANY New Years Resolutions. What I resolve to do though, each and everyday is to reflect HIS love for us to others, practice the Golden Rule, and obey the Commandments. At the end of each day, hopefully I will have done just that. If I fall short for whatever reason, there is always another day to correct and get better. This, EVERYONE can accomplish. How about reflecting on your Resolutions?
